Travel Nurse RN - PCU in Lexington, KY

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse**Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU)**Job Duration:** 14 weeks**Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 or 48 hours/week contracts available**Experience:** 2 years recent ICU experience required, must have 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience in high acuity PCU**License:** Compact or State License required**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Required**Must-Have:** Critical thinking skills, ability to work with patients that may need rapid response. Experience in PCU, Med/Surg, Tele required

**Job Description:**

- Must float to ICU or other PCU units as needed.- No first-time travelers; previous traveling experience required.- Will orient to other transitional units within the facility.- All COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required with medical/religious exemptions only.- RTO must be presented at the time of submission; any time off sent after the offer will not be approved.- Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.- Return Staff Policy: Candidates must have been gone for 90 days to return as travelers.- Background checks are strictly enforced; licensure hits or background hits will result in cancellation.- Orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable time.- PACU Call Policy includes a response time of 1 hour, with specified call hours during weekdays and weekends.- Floating requirements for PACU involve closing at specified times, with call frequency anticipated for 2-3 shifts per schedule period (6 weeks).
