Part-time Registered Nurse-Per Diem

Objective:Ensure the ongoing satisfaction, quality, and safety of existing clients through regular contact, in conjunction with designated quality assurance home visits for clients who specifically use Nurse Directed Services.The position requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgement regarding significant matters of quality assurances/clinical management/risk management and training of the Care ProsSM for Home Instead.Clear understanding of RN regulations and responsibilities for New Jersey as related to nursing delegation to an unlicensed Care Pro. Reporting Relationship:Report to Director of Nursing. This is your first point of contact for questions pertaining to your primary responsibilities. Primary Responsibilities: Initiate and manage Nurse Directed Services to clients. Maintain a current plan of care outlining the specific Nurse Directed Services to be provided to the client. The plan of care must be updated at minimum every 60 days and documentation should be retained electronically or within the client's file. Conduct quality assurance home visits with clients at minimum every 60 days for clients receiving delegated Nurse Directed Services. Ensure proper maintenance of client journals: collect service records for office file and keep journal stocked with appropriate documentation forms. Provide oversight, up to and including the instruction of initial and ongoing in-office and field training for staff. Conduct Nurse Directed Services trainings with individual Care Pros who are serving clients receiving Nurse Directed Services. A documented return demonstration is required by the Care Pro and signed off by the nurse. Act as an expert adviser regarding the Nurse Directed Services.Keep detailed documentation of all relevant phone and in-person contact with clients, client representatives, Care Pros and others.Review, create and keep updated the Nurse Directed Services records for clients receiving those services.Attend Quality Improvement meetings quarterly.Job Requirements:Maintain a current, non-restricted Registered Nursing License in the appropriate state/province.Complete the Home Instead Nurse Delegation Training found on Empower.Adhere to the requirements of Home Instead, Inc. as outlined in the Operations Manual.Assist with the clinical services as outlined in the New Jersey Administrative Rules.Comfortably delegate nursing tasks as outlined in the New Jersey Administration Rules and/or New Jersey Board of Nursing.Clear understanding of the New Jersey rules and regulations regarding delegating nursing tasks to both other licensed and non-licensed employees.5 - 8 years of nursing experience, including delegation and management of employees.Position InformationTitle:Part-time Registered Nurse-Per DiemID:31191Please note that this is the job board for the franchise office located at 3635 Quakerbridge, Suite 15, Hamilton NJ 08619.
