The Accounting Manager will handle the day-to-day duties of a typical accounting department including general ledger, cost accounting, cash management accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, sales records, fixed asset accounting, financial reporting, income taxes and auditing support. This individual can complete tasks independently while also being able to work as a team member while completing accounting department duties requiring full staff participation.

This position receives supervision from the V.P. of Finance and Administration.

Assist in month and year-end close proceduresAssist in monthly financial reporting and ad-hoc analysisAssist in year-end audit and tax planning and preparationAssist in lease accounting and reporting requirementsReconcile various balance sheet accounts along supporting evidence for managements estimatesReconcile inventory, work-in-process monthlyPrepare and report on the Companys construction projects from permitting to final billingPerform and reconcile inventory cycle counts and year-end inventory countsPrepare and report monthly and quarterly state and local sales and use taxAssist in maintaining property tax records for various countiesComplete franchise accounting on a monthly basisOversee the Companys credit card programAssist in preparing and/or reviewing payroll and payroll related benefitsAssist in fleet management when necessaryParticipate in monthly operations financial review meetings and provide research as appropriate.Train and supervise various positions within the accounting departmentAssist in the Company in an upcoming ERP conversionOther duties as may be assignedQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Extensive accounting experience including general ledger, accounts payable, inventory and cash managementDetail oriented, organized and excellent communication skillsExcellent excel and computer skillsAbility to work independently and meet time deadlinesEducation, Experience and Certificate

Four-year degree in accounting or related fieldCPA or graduate degree a plus, but not requiredPublic accounting experience is a plus, but not required, depending on experienceMinimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience
