We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and hands-on Operations Manager for our Ingredient Manufacturing department. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a passion for continuous improvement and a knack for fostering a high-performance culture. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a background in Performance Management, Six Sigma, and Team Leadership to drive operational excellence and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production process, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and cost-efficiency goals.
- Implement and manage operational systems and processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead teams in the execution of daily tasks and functions including job assignments and labor scheduling.
- Develop and implement performance metrics, monitoring them regularly to identify areas for improvement and ensure targets are met.
- Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and reduce operational waste.
- Implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency across the organization.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to challenge the status quo and strive for excellence.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, managing performance, setting goals, providing training and development opportunities, and conducting performance appraisals.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their needs, align on objectives, and ensure operational activities support organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required. MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with Performance Management, Six Sigma, and Team Leadership.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industry standards, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve outstanding results.
- Proven track record of implementing operational improvements that have resulted in measurable cost and efficiency gains.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong decision-making skills with a results-driven approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with ERP systems.
