Excel Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Lincoln, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/16/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Shift: 12 hour nights Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EChart computerized charting, MAK scanning medication administration, PACS radiology viewing system, Vocera communication technology, & Pyxis medication storage. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act. Must provide evidence of certification and/or instruction for practice area as required by State or Federal standards/regulations. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)Basic Life Support (CPR) is required. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) Day & night 12 hour shifts. Weekend requirements is at least every 3rd weekend, but could be up to every other weekend. Employee will never work alone. 6.Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)Yes. If we don t need you on our unit you would be asked to go to other patient units on East & West Campus.7.Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.18 beds8.Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) General care 4:1; PCU 3:19.Dress Code:Royal blue top & black scrub bottoms.10.Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.Three days of orientation. First day getting general requirments & then the next two shifts on unit/shift you will work on. Additional Comments:Comments: Up to every other weekend. 1 extra shift per 6 weeks (OT after 40 hours/week). 12 hours of non-billable orientation.Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation.Client can call off 48 hours per 13 weeks.Client does not accept local candidates and has a 50-mile radius restriction.
