Job Description:Provide support for the admixture of chemotherapy under the direction of an Oncologist. Works closely with the chemotherapy RN group in the infusion center to ensure high quality evidence based infusion therapy. Reports to Oncology Pharmacy Director.

This position is Admixture for Oncology at our Nevada - San Martin location.

This is an Monday to Friday 8-5pm position.ScopeThis position supports Pharmacy Services in Community-Based Care and Specialty-Based Care locations.

Job EssentialsResponsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope.Responsible for all actions/responsibilities as described in company controlled documentation for this position.Contributes to and supports the corporation's quality initiatives by planning, communicating and encouraging team and individual contributions toward the corporation's quality improvement efforts.Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners(HCP) commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer.Familiar with medication dispensing cabinet softwareResponsible to monitor main inventory based on scheduled treatmentsResponsible to charge medications using dispensing cabinet softwareFamiliarity with hazardous drug admixtureCompetency with basic math calculationsFamiliarity with USP 800, OSHA and ASHP guidelines for IV admixtureMaintains workspace following USP 800 guidelinesPerforms clerical and administrative duties as directedDocuments pertinent patient information in the electronic medical record as it relates to job function.Constantly meets established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards.Actively participates in process improvement initiativesParticipates regularly in staff and departmental meetingsUses, protects, and discloses HCP patients protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with health insurance portability and accountability act (HIPPA) standards.Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum QualificationsCurrent pharmacy technician license in state of practice.Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents.Preferred Qualifications:Oncology IV admixture experiencePhysical Requirements:Carrying, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing.Anticipated job posting close date:10/14/2024
