Assessment skills: Competent knowledge of normal stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric, delivering patient care appropriately with thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive, and accurate.Clinical Skills: Demonstrates competent clinical skills, performs direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept, provides appropriate nursing care to the unit's population, demonstrates knowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures.Documentation: Maintains complete and accurate documentation, knowledge of documentation guidelines, responsible for documenting components of the nursing process and patient's progress, including patient education.Professionalism: Demonstrates professional practice responsibility, knowledge of policies and procedures, identifies areas for clinical and professional growth.Patient Satisfaction: Responds in a professional, courteous, and positive manner, promotes patient-centered environment, maintains confidentiality according to HIPPA guidelines.Safety: Follows National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, uses two patient identifiers, demonstrates safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.Unit Specific Job Function: Knowledge of the conditions/diagnoses, procedures, and equipment for surgical patients, individualizes care according to procedure and anesthesia, assesses patient reaction and understanding.Responsibility and Accountability: Contributes to perioperative team, prioritizes care of patients based on needs and condition changes.Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assesses understanding of surgical procedures/instructions, includes patient and family in teaching, performs pre-operative and postoperative assessments and education.Physical Requirements: As defined by Occupation Safety/OMSJob Requirements

Duties Specific to PAT RN: Completes patient testing in a timely manner, evaluates Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and potential omissions.
