Regional Marketing Manager
of our Biofunctionals Business Line within Ashland's Personal Care business in North America. This is a very visible, significant role within Ashland and the personal care business. This position will report to the General Manager for Biofunctionals and be based in our Bridgewater, NJ office
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead regional development and execution of the global marketing strategy and initiatives:Execute regional marketing activities such as campaigns, promotions, and analyzing KPIs for effectivenessLead the regional sales trainings and customer seminarsAdapt marketing messages and communication strategies to the [Region]Collect, provide market intelligence & competitive intelligence and customer segmentation management to global marketing leader to maximize sales activity and focusSupport technically sales teams for Tier 2 customers.Drive and define regional marketing strategy development for growth in close collaboration with global marketing and Biofunctionals GMResponsible for delivering regional price and margin targets together with the global product manager.Drive and provide detailed guidance to regional sales to maximize impact of products at each customer. Monitor results and adjust strategy.Connect with industry in the region. Identify relevant associations and take active leadership role. Drive participation in regional industry events and conferences.Define regional unmet market / customer needs that cannot be achieved via existing product portfolio to initiate and drive to closure of eventual new products adapted to the region.Address communication and campaign needsEnsure regional marketing coordinationServe as a pivotal bridge between regional sales teams, global marketing and global product management.Ensure that goals are unified, and strategies are cohesive with the directives from global marketing.Act as the regional contact point for marketing activities and as the regional voice to adapt global strategies effectively to local markets.Communication Hub: establish and maintain continuous communication channels with global marketing to streamline information flow, ensuring timely updates and coordinated responses to market changes.In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in business or science5+ years of experience and demonstrated success in the personal care industryExperienced in marketing (and/or commercial) role - preferably in the designated regionStrong understanding of marketing strategy development and execution, market and trend research, customer segmentation, communication channel mixExcellent communication skills, talent for building strong networks within Ashland but also with potential customers and external partnersSelf-driven and tenacious with strong project management skillsWillingness to travel in the region - 20%The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit :
An advanced degree, preferably an MBA, is preferredExperience working in the personal care marketProject management skills
