Record lot numbers of ingredients. Manage the operation and attend to the maintenance of the Breddo, Mixer, Pumps, Valves, Line Circuits and other equipment used to safely combine ingredients for customers.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Mix various products on the batching system and homogenizer carefully following mix instructions so as to produce a quality product with minimal wasteProficiently complete CIP and COP of silos, lines, tanks, homogenizer, and related equipment to ensure cleanliness of equipment and passing scores on inspections/auditsUnderstand and demonstrate to employee owners the requirements of koshering and perform the necessary procedures on all equipmentAdhere to proper sanitation and product safety guidelines throughout the plant by practicing good housekeeping, maintaining quality of products, and preventing contamination of ingredients and finished productMaintain proper documentation of mixing, homogenization, and pasteurization processes according to outside agency guidelines as well as in-house proceduresSample product and forward to Quality Assurance lab for verification of meeting specifications, including checking pH levels at regular intervalsPerform routine inspections of all batching-related equipment to ensure that equipment is in top working condition by following proper running procedures, performing low-end maintenance, and reporting equipment and safety issues to the maintenance departmentFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and HAACP Programs to ensure safety of self and othersOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:High School diploma or GEDOne month of related experience or trainingWORKING CONDITIONS:Must regularly lift and /or move up to 60 poundsRegularly required to stand and walkFrequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hearOccasionally required to climb or balance
