SUMMARY:M & R Hotel Management is currently looking for an Area Director of Revenue Management to join our dynamic team. This person will be responsible for identifying, developing and implementing all potential revenue opportunities for the assigned hotels.This position will be based in Manhattan but will require traveling throughout New York City.RESPONSIBILITIES:Set and manage appropriate yield controls to maximize each hotels revenue from all distribution channels, including CRO, GDS, Website, and Third-party channels.Communicate sell strategies with sales and operations team(s).Conduct weekly Yield meetings and recommendations for long and short-term growth with each property.Complete and submit monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports (as requested).Monitor and evaluate CRO-performance on a weekly and month basis, including, conversions, regrets and denial statistics.Develop pricing strategies for all markets, by season.Maximize REVPAR by analyzing and forecasting demand while establishing effective selling strategies and overall market mix.Work in tandem with General Manager and hotel team to establish strategies to increase top- line revenue.Contribute to financial success of the hotel by participating in annual budgeting process.Generate and review daily, weekly and monthly revenue management reports.Maintain historical data from all distribution channels in all markets.Identify/create best practices and share for the benefit of the entire portfolioSuccessfully onboard new hotels as the portfolio grows.Develop, communicate and implement sales strategies, mix of business, channel management, pricing strategies, as well as reservation systems and related policies.Build and Maintain Relationships with OTA and FIT Market Managers to maximize on opportunities in the marketAttend specific training, webinars, conferences, etc deemed necessaryPartner with Sales team to determine how to best utilize special promotions.Effective use of the Revenue Management tools: STR, Hotelligence, Demand 360, Booking Channel Reports, Pace Reports, Market Vision and ProfitSage.Each associate will be required to follow the rules as found in the M&R Employee Handbook.Perform other duties as assigned by Management, of which employee is capable of performing.Job Requirements:New York City Knowledge & Experience strongly preferredThis position will be based in Manhattan but will require traveling throughout New York City.Previous Revenue Management of HotelsExperience with Choice, IHG, Hilton & Marriott and Independent brandsKnowledge of Internet distribution channels (business models and operations)Experience partnering closely with OTA contacts and representativesProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, ProfitSword/ProfitSage experience a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsSkilled in Relationship building
