As a
Reach Forklift driver
at Power Stop, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of reach forklifts to move, stack, relocate, and organize merchandise in our warehouse. Your primary goal will be to ensure the timely and accurate handling of inventory while maintaining a strong focus on safety and teamwork.
Job Duties
•Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a reach forklift, or other power equipment.
•Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away, and load functions, as required.
•Unload inbound shipments safely and move merchandise to storage locations.
•Pull and prepare merchandise for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
•Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to meet production goals and fulfil customer orders.
•Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
•Perform order picking in a safe and efficient manner that meets company's standard.
•Efficiently move products from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars or trailers.
•Ensure proper cleanliness of the warehouse including stacking, palletizing, and general housekeeping.
•Follow safety guidelines and best practices for forklift operation, including wearing appropriate PPE.
•Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
•Maintain tight control over inventory and security by ensuring that appropriate records are maintained.
•Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
•Perform pre-shift equipment check and safely operate equipment
•Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following preferred work methods.
•Observe all safety policies and procedures to meet productivity requirements.
Other projects or duties as assigned
Requirements
•High School diploma or equivalent
•Must be 18 yrs old or older
•Forklift certification, and experience with Pallet Jacks
•1+ years proven experience as a reach truck driver in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
•Demonstrated ability to operate a sit-down/ and or stand-up powered equipment, a plus.
•Strong knowledge of forklift operations and safety protocols.
•Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
•Ability to read and write English, recommended.
•Strong work ethics and a commitment to safety.
•Have a proven record of safe forklift operations.
•Able to lift up to 50lbs.
•Excellent communication skills
•Demonstrates a professional, pleasant, patient, helpful and friendly attitude.
•Demonstrates critical thinking and analytical skills.
•Able to work overtime and weekends.
•Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
•Ability to pass pre-employment drug test.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirement:
This position performs a variety of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming product, selecting and filling orders from stock, stacking, wrapping product and/or building pallets. Additionally, this role entails working near moving mechanical equipment and pedestrians, safe handling of powered equipment and attention to detail are necessary. This job necessitates frequent activities such as bending at the waist, twisting the upper body, prolonged standing, speaking, and hearing, it also involves frequent actions like kneeling, repetitive use of hands, crouching and ability to lift products weighing up to 50lbs occasionally. Adequate visual acuity is essential to perform the responsibilities associated with this position.
