The founders of Travis® Body & Trailer, Inc. began operations in 1989 after purchasing the facilities of CMC Trailers, Inc. in Houston, Texas. Job Purpose:

The primary objective of the material handler is to facilitate and maintain inventory and warehousing operations, ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials and essential supplies. This role demands exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous record-keeping skills. The ideal candidate should exhibit keen attention to detail and possess strong problem-solving capabilities. With a focus on safe operation, the material handler aims to guarantee that our operations consistently maintain a sufficient supply of materials. This may involve the operation of machinery such as forklifts and side loaders, executed with utmost care and adherence to safety protocols.

Essential Job Responsibilities:Execute receiving and warehousing processes/procedures. Guaranteeing timely stocking and organization of incoming materials and productsInterface with production supervisors and production manager on the staging of materials to support the production planPerform regular physical counts of inventory on a set schedule to maintain accurate inventory counts in Syteline.Carry-out FIFO inventory process to insure oldest items are used firstCarryout 5S standards in work areaOther duties as assignedEssential Skills, Experience and Education:

At least 2 years of continuous production/manufacturing plant exposure in a warehousing or material mover/handler roleAt least 1 years of shipping & receiving experience, preferred but not requiredAt least 1 years of experience in ERP systems preferred, but not requiredExperience in warehousing operations, inventory count and material locationsBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not requiredHS Diploma requiredValid TX DLEssential Physical Requirements:

Regularly lifting and carrying 50 lbs. unassistedRegularly pulling and pushing 50 lbs. unassistedRepeated reaching over headRegularly kneeling, stooping, bending and turning at waistRegularly climbing ladder above 2 ft.Able to operate forkliftAble to wear PPE at all times: safety glasses, steel to shoes, etc.Required Work Hours and Schedules:
