A picker packer, also known as an order picker, is a warehouse employee who picks items from shelves and packs them for shipment. They pack items, scan barcodes and move packages to the correct location for shipping. Picker packers are responsible for inspecting merchandise and products to ensure they have the right items, are not damaged, and nothing is missing per the order.
salary: $14 - $15 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 PM - 4:30 AMeducation: High School
Responsibilities
Their duties include:
Stocking: Picker packers restock shelvesTracking: Picker packers track shipment arrival and departure timesCommunication: Picker packers communicate with team membersOrganization: Picker packers keep products organizedInventory: Picker packers use scanners to collect products and keep the inventory catalog up to datePicking: Using an inventory list, picker packers locate items on shelves to fulfill customer ordersPacking: Picker packers arrange items in shipping containers and prepare them for shipmentQuality control: Picker packers assess the quality of products to ensure they are undamaged and meet quality standardsLabeling: Picker packers label boxes for shippingPicker packers need to be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and follow safety guidelines.
The essential functions of this role include:working in a smoke free environmentstanding for 8 hours at one timeworking weekends
