Wolfgang Confectioners currently has an opening for a
Sanitation Team Member on 3rd
shift at our Loganville Facility .
SUMMARY :
The sanitation team member will be a part of a cleaning crew whose duties are to perform a variety of cleaning/sanitation functions on equipment and the facility environment, to meet food safety and quality standards. The sanitation position has a basic understanding of the equipment and the equipment's function along with chemical application awareness and can perform basic equipment breakdowns. Must be able to work effectively in a team-based environment, set priorities to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and make decisions under pressure. Works under direction of the Sanitation Supervisor and Lead Person as appropriate. Work is routinely reviewed for soundness of judgment, adequacy and accuracy. Scope of job duties are complex and quality of work contributes to department production and to the success of the company. .
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Operate wash machines, low/ high pressure hoses, and chemicals.Manually clean equipmentUnderstand and follow Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) guidelines as they refer to proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment required to clean.Follow a master sanitation scheduleUnderstand and follow chemical usage and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Maintains cleanliness of work areaPerforms and records daily checklists accurately.Work individually or in a teamwork environmentMaintains clear, open, and positive communication with the Supervisor and/or Lead Person.Follows Company established Sanitation/Quality Assurance/HACCP and GMP procedures to assure product quality.Complies with company and OSHA safety policies.Offers suggestions to management on improving efficiency, safety, and working conditions.Will maintain flexibility to perform any other duties asked of them, (Example) Production worker in various rolls.FOOD SAFETY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow all Wolfgang Food Safety and Quality Policies and ProgramsReport any food safety and quality concerns immediately to the supervisor and or lead person or anyone who can take actionKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Fundamental knowledge to read work related material and to follow directionsScope of job duties require positive/effective verbal/written communication when interacting with co-workers, Supervisor and/or Lead PersonMental ability to perform as a team member and through positive words and actions supports co-workers, company policy, and production standardsEXPERIENCE and COMPETENCIES:
Fundamental knowledge to follow directionsProduction/Manufacturing/Sanitation experience preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing 8 to 12 hours per dayAbility to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 25-50lbs. as neededAbility to see information in print form and/or electronicallyWork in cold or hot and wet environmentsAbility to climb a ladderExposure to chemical cleaning solutions and adherence to safety protocols with these chemicalsLANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Company documentsAbility to respond effectively to inquiries or complaintsWork Schedule:
Monday - Friday
11 pm -7 pm hours subject to change
$16/hr. plus $1 shift differential
