Overview:

The basic function of the forklift operator is operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries such as carriers and housing components. They also move carrier and housing components to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities.

Up to $18.75/hr! Weekly Pay!

Responsibilities:Know how to properly inspect the forklift.Demonstrates use of controls and uses the seatbelt.Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facilityLoading and unloading goods from vehicles such as carrier and housing components.Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facilityStacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructionsChecking loads are secureStacking empty palletsPerforming daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipmentRemoving machine attachments and waste material from machinesExamining products to verify conformance to quality standardsDumping materials into machine hoppersAffirms knowledge of lift truck Moving and Stacking guidelines.Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and quality systems.Identify and record any product, process, and quality system problems.Perform preventative maintenance to all equipment.Perform safety and housekeeping duties to ensure a safe working environment.Participate actively in the team to achieve team goals.Training and Skills:

Must understand and be able to use basic math, fractions, basic algebra, decimals, and metricsIndustrial experience with forklift operating experienceBe able to lift 20-40 lbsWork overtime including every other weekend
