Purpose of Position:
The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and revenue for the hotel and catering business, building and maintaining client relationships, and managing sales team. Sells hotel rooms, services, catering, venue space and other property amenities to prospective groups, both externally and internally, ensuring that the goals and objectives are obtained.
Job Responsibilities and Duties: Creating sales strategies that align with hotel and catering business objectives. Identify target markets, analyze market trends, and develop strategies that will help the hotel and catering business objectives. Generating leads and creating a pipeline of clients: networking, cold calling, and trade shows. Building and maintaining relationships with clients. Provides exceptional customer service and manages client expectations to ensure satisfaction. Responsible for negotiating contracts, prices, terms, and conditions favorable to TMCR. Manages sales team and ensure that sales targets are met. Motivate and train sales team to ensure they have skills and knowledge to achieve sales goals. Reports sales data to Senior Management through analysis and offer insights into improvement strategies Maintains up to date with industry trends, changes in the market, and new technologies that can improve sales strategy. Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our offerings. Research consumer needs and identify how our solutions address them. Hire, train, motivate, and advise a team of sales representatives. Solicit, negotiate and generate contracted revenues with both existing and new customers. Employ revenue management techniques to recommend corporate rate proposals within STS Cloud Software (Salesandcatering.com Experience a plus). Accurately prepare and present Requests for Proposals that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and the hotel. Reports sales data to Senior Management through analysis and offer insights into improvement strategies. Maintains up to date with industry trends, changes in the market, and new technologies that can improve sales strategy. Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our offerings Prospect for new contract business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, attending community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, trade journals, etc. Develop, implement and constantly modify sales action plans. Manage and maintain an accurate and up-to-date contact management system, STS Cloud. Perform other duties as assigned. Education/Experience:
Associate of Arts or equivalent is required, unless otherwise waived by Human Resources Management Five (5) or more years supervisory or management experience Three (3) or more years of hotel and catering and sales
