Summary

The Senior Auditor will be executing Dealer Incentive Audits, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting. This role will ensure that Dealer Incentive Audits are completed as assigned within time budget, that state laws are followed in respect to Dealer Incentive Audits, and ensuring through audits that dealers are complying with Kia America (KUS) sales policy and other incentive rules. This role will communicate Dealer Incentive Audit results to senior management and dealership personnel. The Senior Auditor will be seen as a positive helpful internal audit resource for dealers and regional management.

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority - 75%

Execute Dealer Sales Incentive Audits including, planning, fieldwork, and reporting. Ensure that Dealer Incentive Audits are completed as assigned within time budget. Ensure through audits that dealers are complying with KUS's sales policy and other incentive rules. Ensure that KUS is in compliance with the various state laws concerning dealership incentive audits. Travel is expected up to 60% to 75%. Demonstrates leadership capacity utilizing available audit resources effectively to complete all Dealer Incentive Audits assigned from the Audit Plan within approved time budget. Select dealers for review using risk analysis. Follow department policy concerning the preparation of the audit justification document, proper notification(s) to the region and dealers for the pre-audit steps. Complete the audit with a written deliverable document that is shared with KUS management and the audited dealer. Communicate with KUS and dealer management. The Senior Auditor will be seen as a positive helpful internal audit resource for dealers and regional management.

2nd Priority - 10%

Develop/enhance audit techniques to help with the detection of dealer irregularities. These audits may have a large financial impact on KUS. Work with legal counsel to resolve disputes or prepare counsel for litigation/negotiations.

3rd Priority - 5%

Develop and/or enhance processes using the systems available. Work with KUS representative and HAEA to develop, enhance or correct systems as needed. Attend planning meeting as needed to provide Internal Audit perspective for new systems within KUS.

4th Priority - 5%

Maintain Internal Audit policy and procedure manual for dealer incentive audits. Update the manual with policy and procedural changes as they occur. Communicate the changes within the audit department. Assist with the annual audit planning and budget requirements.

5th Priority - 5%

Assist on Corporate/Vendor Audits as time permits.

Education/Certification

  • B.S. in Accounting, Business or equivalent work experience required.


Overall Experience

  • 5+ years of Audit experienced in a corporate environment required.
  • Working experience conducting audits in the dealership environment is preferred.


Directly Related Experience

  • Automotive industry audit experience preferred.
  • Project management experiences a plus.


Position Requirements:
  • Travel is expected up to 60% to 75% domestically
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours

Pay Range

$79,596 - $106,543

Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
