In this role, you will be at the center of Apple’s communication user experiences, with high potential to innovate:Showing people in gorgeous yet utilitarian ways across apps.Giving control over communication preferences.Keeping track of important relationships.Making it easy to have accurate, up-to-date information about people.Your responsibilities will include:Setting the agenda for how we manage and represent people in our software.Maximizing our team effectiveness by mentoring our high growth employees to succeed in lead roles.Making the right strategic technology decisions and building a rich feature set while strengthening reliability.Shaping product direction by developing vision and building relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders, including peer engineering teams, the design team, senior software leadership, and the product marketing team.This team has a duty to shape and drive Apple’s communication user experiences. This team’s products are deeply important to Apple users and our success depends on partnership, technical leadership, and diverse experiences!Minimum Qualifications:You care about helping others grow in their careers at Apple.You have a history of hiring and mentoring a diverse team of engineers.You prioritize building an inclusive team culture where everyone can be heard and the best ideas are the ones we pursue.You have strong planning and execution skills.You have strong communication and collaboration skills.You have strong software engineering skills and can act as an arbitrator for tough technical debates.You aspire to take an Apple-wide perspective in making decisions.Preferred Qualifications:You have experience with UI development, Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, API development, threading, data structures, performance, and battery life.You have an understanding of sync protocols and databases.Education: Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent skills and work experience.At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
