Successful candidate will be part of a team that provides Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support to a client manufacturing facility. This position works directly with the Environmental Team's engineers to evaluate facilities and processes with respect to potential hazards to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. The candidate must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have a strong analytical background.
Responsibilities:
Work with client(s) to ensure compliance with facility environmental, health, and safety policies and other applicable regulatory agencies
Evaluate products for potential user hazards, including data collection
Conduct environmental, health, and safety training
Create, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures
Review and update appropriate personal protective equipment in FOPs (Facility Operating Procedures) for workers to follow
Create/update waste stream profiles
Conduct equipment inspections
Air emission modeling
Write/review hazard evaluations for new materials
Work with business to audit daily work permits and report findings to supervisors
Additional responsibilities according to client needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline
1-2 years professional Environmental Health and Safety experience preferred
Safety experience in a manufacturing or pilot plant setting preferred
Prior customer service experience with great interpersonal and collaboration skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and highly productive with the ability to balance multiple projects at once
Possess the ability to follow good documentation practices and adapt to changing schedules
Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
