Job Summary:Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Tax Manager to join their team. The Corporate Tax Manager will be responsible for managing the companys federal, state, and foreign income and franchise tax compliance, including the preparation of extensions and quarterly estimated payments. The role will also involve reviewing tax provisions under ASC 740 (FAS 109) and FIN 18, and managing a team of tax professionals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and experience in managing complex tax issues.Key Responsibilities:Tax Compliance:

Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and foreign income and franchise tax returns, including extensions and quarterly estimated payments. Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.Tax Provision Review:

Review and manage the preparation of the companys income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 (FAS 109) and FIN 18. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax-related financial statement disclosures.Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage the tax staff. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team meets compliance deadlines and maintains high standards of work.Tax Planning & Strategy:

Assist in developing tax planning strategies to minimize the companys overall tax liabilities. Provide technical guidance on tax implications of business decisions.Audit Support:

Manage tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities. Gather and provide requested documentation, and work with external auditors on tax-related issues.Research & Analysis:

Stay up-to-date on current tax laws and regulations. Conduct tax research to analyze the impact of new tax laws, proposed transactions, and changes in business operations.Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements in the tax compliance and reporting functions. Implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain accurate and organized records of all tax filings, payments, and correspondence with tax authorities. Prepare reports for management on tax positions and potential risks.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Masters in Taxation preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate tax, with a strong focus on income and franchise tax compliance.Extensive knowledge of ASC 740 (FAS 109), FIN 18, and other relevant tax accounting standards.Proven experience in managing and developing tax professionals.Strong technical skills in tax research, planning, and compliance.Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (e.g., OneSource, Corptax, Oracle).Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.Benefits:Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) plan with company match.Generous paid time off and holidays.Professional development and continuing education opportunities.
