Description

Main Purpose of the Role:

Provide technical assistance and desktop support. Monitor and maintain network and computer systems and troubleshooting where issues arise and resolve in the shortest possible timeframe.

Main Tasks:

Ensure downtime is minimal when issue arisesIf issue arises, troubleshoot to identify if issue is internal or externalLiaise with local services providers if it is an external issueLiaise with Help-desk by phone communication and by creating the necessary remedy to escalate the issueInstall and configure computer hardware and printers on the local area network (LAN)Ensure that devices such as printers, UPS systems are maintained and are working properlyTrouble shoot hardware and software problems, printing issue, escalate issues to Help-desk or technical support team.Organize and schedule maintenance for printers and UPS systemReplacement of hardware parts as deemed necessaryEnsure that IT procurement policy is followed for purchasesAssist staff members with technical issues that may arise and provide desktop supportAssist with creating remedies to escalate problems that cannot be resolved internally or locallyAssist with any other duties assigned.Ensure that the software is updateGenerate a monthly report to HelpDesk Manager, or as requested.

Requirements•First Degree in Computing/Information Technology•Two ( 2) years experience•Very good command of English Language (Reading, Writing, Speaking)•Fluent knowledge in Microsoft software environment (Windows platforms, Microsoft Office Suite)•Knowledgeable in ZIM IT systems and communication
