Schedule: Monday - Friday day hours / onsite $21.21 - $29.70 USD Hourly Insurance and Claims Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's financial operations related to insurance claims and patient accounts. This role involves overseeing the accuracy and reconciliation of financial transactions, ensuring the timely management of aging receivables, insurance categories, and patient account records. The coordinator will handle and prioritize multiple phone inquiries, offering expert assistance to patients and clients with their questions and concerns. This position will also serve as a backup for the Provider Relations/Prior Authorization Specialist, as needed. You Will: Manage financial transactions, ensuring accurate account reconciliation, and maintaining secure digital records Oversee the accuracy and timely management of aging receivables, insurance categories, and patient account record Handle and prioritize multiple phone inquiries from patients and clients, providing expert assistance with questions and concerns. Submit and analyze claims for proper payment: process and evaluate claims to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. Work denials and appeals: manage and resolve denials and appeals and identify payer issues at the claim and coverage level. Including investigate and address payer-related issues at both the claim and coverage levels. Initiate payer participation and resolution on complex claims issues: facilitate engagement with payers to resolve complex claims issues Conduct thorough denial analyses to identify and address adverse trends, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Manage regulatory and commercial insurance classes: oversee and ensure compliance in managing both regulatory and commercial insurance categories. Serve as a backup for the Provider Relations/Prior Authorization Specialist. Administrative responsibilities: Complete daily HC1 client visits. Report expenses monthly. Complete stark reporting. Update collaterals. Complete special requests from clients. Nurture business relationships with providers, clinics, and hospital staff. Serve as the point of contact for providers when the Provider Relations/Prior Authorization Specialist is out of the office addressing inquires, resolving issues, and ensuring seamless communication. Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Education/Certifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field required. 2+ years related experience required.
