About the job:

Fulltime position Friday-Monday swing shift4/10 hour shiftsTriaging incoming patientsAssist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and proceduresPartner with the patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication and nursing care concernsProvide client education including, but not limited to: home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patientsProvide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patientsInduce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation proceduresRecord and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather additional information as necessaryPerform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testingCompensation Range:RVT: $25.00 - $40.00 hourSVA: $25.00 - $36.00$8,000 Hiring Bonus

Who you are:

You are a

Registered Veterinary Technician

or

Senior Veterinary Technician

with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You are able to remain composed during stressful & emotional situations while remaining motivated, trustworthy, and team-oriented.You' re looking for an opportunity to utilize your full skill-set while simultaneously learning new & advanced techniques.You are committed to outstanding client service, exceptional patient care, and you really want to make a difference!

Basic Required Qualifications:

High school diploma1+ years

of clinical experience

as an RVT or 3 years of experience as Senior Vet AssistantStrong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriateConsistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculationsMaintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
