GENERAL FUNCTIONS

The Director, Continuous Improvement (CI) leads the continuous improvement vision, strategy and execution plan for the organization by building capability that establishes a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. The Director leads adherence to the principles of Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing during the execution of strategic plans across the Foothill Ranch facility.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreates a culture of Continuous Improvement by providing leadership and coaching to teams across the FHR organization. This role requires a HANDS ON approach to facilitate CI activities and training of employees on improvement tools such as: Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI processesDefines and drives business transformation, streamlines operations, and builds new solutions to simplify business processesWorks with key business leaders in annual strategy deployment planning process and prioritizes improvement opportunities based on strategy deployment and tactical planning objectivesPartners with leaders in developing the annual budgetEstablishes a culture where tools and methods are utilized in a standard and documented way to deliver improvementsDevelops and deploys Continuous Improvement RoadmapEvaluates use of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics and implementation optionsProactively engages cross-functional partners to sustain a continuous improvement cultureLeads technical training strategy and deploymentServes as Master Black Belt and subject matter expert (SME) in CI by generating validated cost reduction initiatives and process improvements throughout the organizationMaintains positive work relationships with members of other teams to communicate effectively and ensure support with cross-team responsibilitiesTranslates and documents performance improvements to financial values that align with corporate goalsProvides CI status reports for both internal and external communications including metric based accomplishments of the CI plan, to include estimates and reports on true savings of CI efforts in all areasPromotes and supports cross-pollination of ideas, knowledge, standards and improvementsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related10+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment5+ years developing and implementing Lean supply chain, production, and process improvement initiatives5+ years of management/leadershipSix Sigma Black Belt or Master Black BeltPrevious significant operations role (Continuous Improvement Manager, Operations Manager, project or program manager, quality manager, production control)Experience leading teams in a fast paced MFG environment, in a manner that drives teamwork, collaboration and a high degree of integritySuperior problem solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skillsPassion for solving problems and operational excellenceFocused, organized, results-oriented individualSelf-motivated and able to achieve high impact in an unstructured environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's DegreeBilingual English/Spanish

Pay Range: 159,104.18 - 219,585.98

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
