Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Bronx, New York. Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care in our Pediatric Cardiovascular Care Unit. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pediatric critical care nursing and a passion for delivering exceptional care to our young patients. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients admitted to the Pediatric Cardiovascular Care Unit, including physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and medical histories. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, considering the unique needs and preferences of each patient and family. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and social workers, to coordinate and facilitate the continuum of care for patients from admission to discharge. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and professional development activities to enhance clinical practice and contribute to the advancement of pediatric cardiac care. Requirements: Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York. Board certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) or Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC). Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in pediatric critical care nursing, with a focus on cardiac care preferred. BLS and PALS certifications required; additional certifications such as CCRN or CPON are advantageous.
