We want you to leave with a smile on your face It was a cold rainy afternoon in the fall of 2003 when longtime friends and neighbors Jack Canouse and Chris Albano came up with the inspiration of Stars and Strikes. They realized there was a desperate need in the Metro Atlanta area for a place where people of all ages could go to have clean, safe fun. So, with drinks in hand and time to spare, the boys got to planning. They imagined a place with top-notch guest service, thousands of square feet of fun, delicious food, personable staff members, and of course a fully loaded bar ran by the best bartenders in the business. After months of hard work and planning, Jack and Chris turned their rainy day ambitions into a reality. In June 2005 they opened their first center in Cumming, Ga. The original location was soon followed by new centers in Metro Atlanta: Dacula/Lawrenceville, Dallas, Stone Mountain, Sandy Springs, Woodstock, Loganville, Buford/Mall of Georgia. 2006 saw the expansion of the company outside of the Metro Atlanta area in Columbus and Augusta, Georgia, Huntsville, Alabama, Smyrna, Tennessee and Summerville, South Carolina. Sweeping the South with their fun-filled dream was not just the work of two men but a group effort of many friends, family members and key team members. Assistant General Manager Hiram, GA Full Time Dallas Manager/Supervisor Assistant General Manager At Stars and Strikes, our Assistant General Manager is involved with all aspects of the centers including bowling, arcade, and food & beverage As the AGM, you would be responsible for assisting the General Manager in the overall operation of the center including meeting or exceeding revenue and cost objectives, ensuring proper training of staff, and having guest service levels exceed our expectations. What were looking for: This position requires 2 or more years of experience in management Proven operations background with exceptional leadership, communication, and time management skills Previous experience in managing budgets and labor Background in the restaurant/hospitality industry is preferred Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business, including weekends & holidays Responsibilities: Create an exciting and fun atmosphere to ensure a great experience for our guests and team Hiring, training, coaching, developing, scheduling, evaluating and disciplining team members Understanding and accountability for adherence to core standards, HR policies, training, safety requirements, and recordkeeping. Understanding of P&L and achievement of all revenue category goals on the P&L while managing proper cash handling procedures, developing and implementing upselling techniques, and creating and enforcing proper transaction processes.
