Selected applicant should possess a High school diploma or GED and have at least two years of building/grounds custodial, building maintenance, construction, or repair experience.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide light maintenance and janitorial duties to all Four County properties and equipment, including vehicle fleet, as needed.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:1. Daily:a. Pick up trash, including wastebaskets in offices, empty shredder bags, empty smoke containers, clear trash from under desks, clean tables in waiting areas.b. Clean bathrooms daily: clean sinks, wipe down mirrors, mop floors, empty containers, clean stools and urinals, and wipe down walls and metal dividers as needed.c. Vacuum all carpeted areas, entrance mats, clean edges around doorways and corners, and spot clean as needed.d. Break room: Clean sink, microwave, and refrigerator, wipe down cabinets with germicidal cleaner.e. Remove all trash from parking areas.f. Replace all burned out light bulbs and preform minor repairs, as needed.2. Twice a week or as needed:a. Vacuum meeting rooms, wipe down tables after each meeting with germicidal cleaner.b. Sweep off back, front, and employee entrances3. Monthly:a. Check and record fire and safety equipment.b. Dust entire building, including but not limited to: chairs, base boards, name plates, over doors, cabinets, vents, emergency lights, phones, TVs, and computers.c. Vacuum cords and behind computers where accessible. Clean any cobwebs.4. Semi-Annually: Take off screens and clean between windows and screen. Wash windows.5. Yearly: Spray and wipe down wood doors and molding with lemon polishINDIVIDUAL MUST BE ABLE TO:? Lift 50 pounds, climb stairs? Personal protective equipment is required for safety, such as: safety glasses, plastic gloves, etc. at a minimum when emptying waste baskets, cleaning bathrooms, or cleaning up bodily fluids and at other times when necessary.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: (as needed)? Exhibit and promote decisions / behavior consistent with the Centers established Vision, Mission, and Values.? Landscaping maintenance.? Shovel and salt sidewalks.? Restock paper supplies at copier stations.? Conduct major cleaning (e.g., carpet cleaning).? Assist in identifying areas of concern for future maintenance of facility.? Maintain adequate stock of janitorial and building supplies.? Coordinate repairs with vendors.? Purchase supplies.? Provide deliveries.? Any deviations to the work schedule must be approved in advance.? Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
