Job Overview: An autonomous mobility company is seeking a skilled
Vehicle Technician
to support the inspection, maintenance, and operational readiness of its advanced vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle diagnostics and repairs and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality inspections and repairs according to defined procedures Conduct multi-point safety checks and system diagnostics, recommending necessary maintenance Test and verify completed work meets safety and operational standards Travel locally as needed to support vehicle setup, maintenance, and road-readiness Maintain tools and shop environment, ensuring inventory is organized and functional Escalate technical issues to appropriate engineering teams for resolution Maintain accurate service records and documentation Work with team leads to ensure all vehicles are in a ready state for testing or deployment
Requirements: 2+ years of experience as a vehicle technician In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance, tools, systems, and diagnostics Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR check Strong multitasking and project coordination skills Reliable and self-motivated with strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform job-related activities (standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications: Technical trade school certification or associate degree in automotive repair Experience in automotive research or engineering labs (e.g., Dyno, battery testing) Familiarity with CAN systems, wiring diagrams, and soldering Experience towing trailers or vehicle haulers Willingness to travel occasionally beyond the local area
