Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, inventory, purchasing, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and analyze accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently and effectively.
- Manage financial audit for a multi-national, multi-entity consolidated company.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Assign projects, delegate tasks, and ensure the timely and accurate completion of all accounting functions.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and relevant financial regulations.
- Ensure the proper accounting treatment for acquisition transactions, adhering to GAAP and relevant regulations.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including transaction processing and reconciliations.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g., legal, operations) to ensure seamless integration of financial considerations into project and acquisition strategies.
- Stay up to date on the latest accounting pronouncements and industry best practices related to special projects and acquisitions.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a progressive accounting role, with a focus on complex projects or transactions (e.g., mergers & acquisitions)
- CPA certification preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
