Candidates must be located in Eastern Time Zone The Senior Manager of Global Accounting will play a critical role in this transformation and report directly to the SVP of Finance. About the Role Responsibilities include: Demonstrate expert knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes across the group. Oversee audits across all group entities; coordinate with internal teams and external service providers. Refine the end-to-end accounting process—defining roles, responsibilities, procedures, and policies aligned with industry best practices. Implement and maintain effective internal controls over financial transactions. Maintain a comprehensive and well-documented system of accounting policies and procedures, consistent with US GAAP and local GAAP (as applicable). Process adjustments and journal entries as needed. Maintain an organized (electronic) accounting filing system. Research and resolve transaction discrepancies; reclassify as appropriate. Oversee all group-level tax matters, including transfer pricing, income tax, sales & use tax, franchise tax, and other business-related taxes; coordinate with foreign subsidiaries and external providers. Supervise revenue recognition processes, review documentation, and provide final sign-off. Train and support team members involved in financial processes to ensure a clean annual audit. Travel to company headquarters in Germany on a quarterly basis. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or ACCA-required. Minimum 6 years of professional experience, including a foundation in public accounting (Big Four experience preferred). Strong preference for candidates with experience in the software industry. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Pivot, complex formulas); experience with Power BI and/or Sage Intacct; both a strong plus. Experience working in a private equity-backed company is a plus. Excellent time management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a goal-driven environment. Proven success in developing and managing operational systems and processes to ensure timely financial reporting. Collaborative team player capable of working independently and effectively across all organizational levels. Seniority level
