Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Application Engineer specializing in Metal Additive Manufacturing using Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) technology. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting sales activities, developing tailored applications, training customers, supporting machine installations, facilitating production ramp-ups, providing expert consultation, and delivering excellent
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and demonstrate LPBF technology benefits. Develop and optimize applications to meet client specifications and objectives. Plan and conduct comprehensive customer training programs on LPBF processes and equipment. Support the installation and commissioning of LPBF machines at customer sites. Assist customers during production ramp-ups to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Provide technical consultation and guidance to clients on LPBF technology and applications. Troubleshoot technical issues and offer prompt, effective customer support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product and application development. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in additive manufacturing and LPBF technology.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Experience: Proven experience in additive manufacturing, with a focus on LPBF processes. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of metal materials, their properties, and their applications in LPBF. Software Skills: Technical proficiency in CAD/CAM software and simulation tools. General Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving technologies. Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills for effective customer interaction. Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
