JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE
The Admissions Advisor will provide information to potential students and their families about the admissions process, the admission requirements, the available programs of study, and the school and its facilities and resources. The Admissions Advisor is responsible to schedule both in-person and virtual meetings to facilitate tours of the school facility. He or she assists with organizing and participates in recruitment events, such as the National Open House and high school career fairs. He or she is responsible for developing and delivering enrollment and financial aid training via virtual and/or on-site, in-person events to support ongoing training efforts. A successful candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills to ensure that prior to a prospective student’s commitment to enroll, the prospective student fully understands the requirements for admission, realizes the program expectations, and has complete and accurate information about available resources.
He or she must also have an unwavering commitment to providing exceptional customer service, following the law, and abiding by diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conducts and leads tours for prospective students and their families
Understands and follows all policies and procedures Understands and follows the lead management workflow and admissions process
Knows and understands the school’s educational programs
Provides prospective students and their families with appropriate, accurate, timely, and clear information
Attends daily and weekly Team Huddle, Town Hall, and staff trainings
Conducts professional development training for current students
Updates and manages the lead database in the CRM
Follows up with prospective students via phone, text, and email
Follows communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
Works with teams to promote best practices
Performs other duties as assigned

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Ability to develop and deliver presentations
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Knowledge of programs/services available to the students
Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
Knowledge of community outreach practices
Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports
Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues
Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures
Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Ability to evaluate student transcripts and/or records
Is a self-starter and can work independently
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Two+ years of experience in customer service, training, or advisory roles or sufficient transferable experience to demonstrate practical equivalence
Associate’s degree required
Bachelor’s degree preferred

While performing administrative tasks, the employee will walk and move to access file cabinets, office machinery, or attend functions outside of their personal work area;sit and remain in a stationary position for long periods of time; reach,stretch and use hands, fingers, and arms to perform work, operate computers, office machinery, or handle small objects; and regularly lift and move up to 30 pounds. The employee may occasionally be required to balance,stoop, kneel, and crawl under desks or in confined spaces. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to look at the computer screen for extended periods of time, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to communicate clearly and exchange accurate information through speaking, hearing, and applying discernment.
