We’re looking for a Senior to join our Complex Securities Valuation team within our Accounting Advisory practice. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about valuation methodologies, loves diving into the technical side of financial modeling, and enjoys working directly with clients. What You'll Be Doing: As a Senior in Complex Securities Valuation, you'll play a key role in valuing financial instruments for financial reporting, tax, and transaction-related purposes. You'll work on: Valuation of complex securities, including embedded derivatives, forward contracts, convertible notes, SAFEs, TSR awards, performance & market-based compensation awards, options, warrants, contingent considerations, and claw back provisions. Application of ASC 815, 820, 825, and 718—helping clients navigate accounting and fair value reporting requirements. Building and reviewing valuation models from scratch, including Monte Carlo simulations, lattice models, and stochastic processes. Using advanced valuation software like Oracle Crystal Ball, @Risk, MATLAB, Python, and R to develop robust financial models. Managing end-to-end valuation engagements—from proposal writing and client discussions to final deliverables. Working directly with clients to understand financial instruments, assumptions, and valuation methodologies. Cross-collaborating with internal teams, including audit, tax, and financial advisory professionals. What We’re Looking For: Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred); CPA, ASA, ABV, or CVA is a plus. Experience: 3+/5+ years of valuation experience in public accounting or consulting. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Monte Carlo simulations, lattice models, and probability distribution frameworks. Software Skills: Experience with Excel-based modeling tools, Oracle Crystal Ball, @Risk, MATLAB, Python, and/or R. GAAP & Fair Value Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and its impact on valuation methodologies. Client-Facing Experience: Ability to present valuation findings, work closely with clients, and explain complex financial concepts.
