Military Veterans Encouraged to Apply. Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Angular and Java Developer with a solid background in Alfresco to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications, leveraging Angular for the front-end and Java for the back-end with Alfresco APIs for connecting to the Alfresco platform. You will also be working with Alfresco, an enterprise content management system, to develop robust solutions that enhance document and content management capabilities. Requirements: U.S. Citizenship is required. This position is remote but will require candidate to come onsite to McLean, VA for meetings. Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance. Qualifications and Experience: B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 7 years' relevant experience. A Master's degree may substitute for 2 of the 7 years' required experience. Proven experience in Angular (2+ years) with the ability to create responsive and efficient front-end applications. Strong knowledge of Java (5+ years) and experience in building enterprise-level applications. Java certification preferred but not required. Hands-on experience with Alfresco including Alfresco Content and Process services (Document Management, BPM, or other ECM modules). Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and integrating them with front-end and back-end systems. Experience with Spring Framework and other Java technologies like Hibernate, JDBC, and JPA. Familiarity with version control tools such as Git. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and build automation tools like Jenkins. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure Experience with both relational and non-relational database architectures Experience with other ECM or document management platforms Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Angular for front-end development and Java for back-end development. Work closely with cross-functional teams (product managers, UX/UI designers, etc.) to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Implement and customize Alfresco content management solutions to meet specific business needs. Collaborate in agile development cycles, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features. Integrate Alfresco with other third-party systems and technologies. Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and bugs related to both front-end and back-end development. Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices, maintainability, and security standards. Write unit tests, integration tests, and participate in quality assurance processes to maintain application reliability and performance. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in Angular, Java, and Alfresco, and share knowledge with the team. Document technical designs, workflows, and processes for internal and client use.
