Job Description
Ambassador Personnel is actively seeking a Warehouse Associate for a reputable company in Belmont, NC that offers great benefits such as 401K, paid vacation, health, dental, vision, and more.
This contract-to-hire position operates on a schedule from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and includes 1 hour of mandatory overtime each day, along with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
**Pay Rate:** $17.00/hour
Position Summary:
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be the driving force behind essential warehousing activities related to both incoming and outgoing goods. You will receive, handle, store, and dispatch products while ensuring that operations such as packing, replenishment, and shipping are executed with utmost safety and efficiency. Maintaining accurate data in the ERP system is non-negotiable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diligently process and load shipments based on production schedules and customer orders.
- Unload and store incoming goods, carefully checking for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately sort, label, and organize products to optimize warehouse storage.
- Prepare, pack, and dispatch outgoing shipments, verifying the accuracy of each order.
- Safely load trucks for delivery, ensuring freight protection.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in the system regarding stock records; document and resolve discrepancies.
- Skillfully operate warehouse equipment, such as stock pickers, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
- Proactively assist with inventory maintenance and strict adherence to safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset are essential.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations; forklift experience is a distinct advantage.
- Outstanding computer skills and the ability to read and interpret various documents are necessary.
- Strong mathematical skills for reporting and documentation are crucial.
- Must exhibit teamwork and self-motivation.
