We are seeking a Director for the North American Corporates Group, focusing on Retail and Consumer sectors, based in New York, Chicago, or Toronto. The role involves analyzing credit quality, developing financial models, engaging with industry management, and representing Fitch at industry events. Leadership and mentorship responsibilities may be included. Key Responsibilities
Analyze key quantitative and qualitative factors affecting credit quality in Retail & Consumer sectors. Develop and maintain financial models. Meet with industry management teams. Present analysis to credit rating committees. Communicate rating rationale to external audiences. Write research reports on topical issues. Participate in credit evaluations within and outside the sector. Represent Fitch at industry panels and conferences. Mentor junior team members. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or higher preferred. CFA/CPA preferred. 8+ years relevant experience, including sector coverage or knowledge. Experience in capital markets or credit analysis is a plus. Proficiency in Excel and Word. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively. Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding of Retail & Consumer sectors. Financial statement analysis skills. Experience interpreting legal documents such as bank agreements and bond indentures. Leadership qualities and stakeholder management skills. Why Join Fitch?
