Join to apply for the Senior Plumbing Designer role at Merrick & Company Overview Merrick & Company is actively seeking an experienced Plumbing Designer (12+ years), with experience in Revit MEP and AutoCAD, to work in one of our Merrick offices in San Antonio, TX; Atlanta, GA; Melbourne, FL; or Greenwood Village, CO. The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter who can independently lead plumbing system designs, ensure code compliance, and contribute technical expertise on a variety of building projects including government, institutional, and mission-critical facilities. Experience with office buildings, dormitories, warehousing, maintenance facilities, fire stations, aircraft hangars, Data Centers, and biocontainment/public health facilities is a plus. Pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. What You'll Do This role involves technical design, calculations, creating construction drawings, writing/editing specifications, conducting installation inspections, writing field reports, responding to RFIs, and attending meetings with clients, contractors, and other designers. The work includes designing domestic water systems, pressure boosting systems, sanitary waste and vent systems, storm water drainage, and developing designs for military, biocontainment, and other government facilities. Required Qualifications Associate Degree in Engineering or Building Construction Science. Minimum 12 years of experience in plumbing design. Ability to perform field surveys and document construction progress or defects. Experience in drafting and layout of plumbing and natural gas systems, including sizing and isometric diagrams in compliance with IPC, IFGC, and NFPA 54. Experience with military or governmental facilities. Strong understanding of building, plumbing, and energy codes, and sustainable design concepts. U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. Desired Qualifications Proficiency with Revit MEP. Active membership in the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE). Experience designing medical gases and high-pressure systems.
