VHS is looking for a qualified Physician - Interventional Radiology.

- Description: This is an ON-CALL only assignment ** Looking for a Physician to commit to a one-year assignment. Please note credentialing/security clearance can take 2-3 months. Current POP ends 7/31/24 with option to extend through 7/31/27. The contract Physician - Interventional Radiology shall be on-call in order to respond to calls. The on-call rate is only for the contract Physician - Interventional Radiology to carry the pager and be available to answer inquiries from staff, supervision of trainees, and/or report to the facility to treat patients. When necessary, the contract Physician - Interventional Radiology shall come to the hospital to see patients within 30 minutes of notification. The regular hourly rate shall apply during the time the contract Physician - Interventional Radiology is required to be in the hospital to treat patients. The specific schedule for each two-week period will be provided one month in advance. On-call schedule is most likely 3-4 weeks per year for vacation coverage. Will be on call covering either entire weekend (Friday at 4p to Monday at 8a) or weekdays (Monday-Friday from 4p to 8a next day). Physician will be issued a pager that will be turned on during call schedule and turned off when off schedule. Pager will not need to be turned in between call assignments. Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). Education: Successfully completed a fellowship or dedicated residency in interventional radiology. Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. Certs: BLS and ACLS Experience: Possess a minimum of one year?s experience actively practicing as a fulltime Physician in Interventional Radiology during the last 3 years. Board Certification: Be board-certified by the American Board of Radiologists. Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
