The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a key member of our Chiller Engineered to Order (ETO) product design and development team dedicated to developing advanced cooling solutions, particularly for the data center customers. In this role, the Senior Mechanical Engineer leverages expertise in thermal systems to design, analyze, and optimize chiller systems for maximum efficiency, reliability, and performance. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that our chiller products meet and exceed customer expectations while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Job Responsibilities: Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to evaluate system performance under various operating conditions and environments Collaborate with internal stakeholders, i.e., product management, engineering, and manufacturing, to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions Support design and development of chiller systems, i.e., component selection, system integration, and performance optimization Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development Support product testing and validation activities, analyze test results and implement design improvements Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in thermal systems engineering
Basic Hiring Criteria: Bachelor's in engineering – mechanical or aerospace 5+ years of experience in new product development or design
Desired Qualifications: Master's degree in mechanical engineering, or Thermal Engineering Focus on chiller systems preferred Proficiency in thermodynamic cycle analysis and modeling using own handwritten codes or commercially available software Experience with product development processes, from concept design to production release Problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering high-quality results on schedule Ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences Team player with a collaborative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
