Summary/Objective This position oversees daily sales activity for a sales region or market within Park Lawn. The AVP meets with major clients, draws up sales reports, and designs new and more effective sales strategies. The AVP works to market and promote company products and services while fostering an environment reflective of our core values. Essential Functions Recruits, hires and develops competencies in Sales Managers. Coordinates the large sales process for client families. Manages specific quarterly or annual sales goals. Oversees the activity of other sales management. Reviews sales activity reports. Works with Sales Managers to ensure sales and productivity goals are met. Presents data regarding sales at company meetings or conference calls. Devises new and innovative ways to market products. Approves marketing and sales promotional materials. Researches current market analytics and competitive programs with the ability to recalibrate current promotions or sales processes as needed. Leads in-house seminars and workshops to improve the effectiveness and productivity of the sales team. Other duties as assigned. Teamwork Orientation. Detail Orientation. Thoroughness. Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Marketing or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree is a plus. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the sales and marketing sector, and able to demonstrate a successful sales record. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Attend and perform work in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with the employer’s requirements. Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through community involvement. Able to read, write and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) preferred. Tactful and professional when dealing with complaints or dissatisfaction with services or merchandise. Maintains a positive attitude and working environment through organization and communication. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and exercise good judgment. Supervisory Responsibility This position has direct management responsibilities, including hiring, firing, performance management and disciplinary actions as needed. Physical Demands and Work Environment The duties associated with this position are generally performed in an indoor office setting. Equipment used to perform the essential function of this position includes, but is not limited to computer, fax, copier, merchant terminal, multi-line phone system, personal or company owned vehicle. Employees in this role are regularly required to climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift to 25 pounds. This position may also require reaching, pushing, and pulling. This position may also be exposed to chemicals and/or blood borne pathogens. Exposure risk is considered low. Travel This position may require up to 50 percent out of area and overnight travel. Travel is primarily local occurring during the business day only.
