Ascent Emergency Medical Center,
a Freestanding ER located near the Texas Medical Center, seeks experienced
Emergency Medicine Registered Nurses
for
PRN positions, with an emphasis on night shift coverage . Successful candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, and provide great customer service. Note:
ONLY qualified applicants with both
Adult and Pediatric experience
or
ER experience
will be considered.
Night shift availability is highly preferred.
Salary based on experience.
The Registered Nurse at Ascent Emergency Medical Center will be responsible for:
• Triaging patients accurately to ensure timely and appropriate level of care for patients.
• Performing accurate head-to-toe assessments on all patient types, including pediatric, obstetrics and geriatric patients.
• Accurately carrying out physician orders within scope of practice.
• Identifying emergencies and providing necessary intervention.
• Performing patient laboratory testing and results reporting as assigned by the Laboratory Director.
• Participating in Performance Improvement activities to maintain a superior level of patient safety and quality of care.
• Maintaining current knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on patient characteristics and clinical condition.
• Maintaining accurate nursing documentation throughout the entire length of a patient's treatment to include history, condition, treatments, responses, and any changes in the patient's condition.
• Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements
The
requirements
for employment with Ascent Emergency Medical Center are:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
• Current licensure with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. License must be in good standing.
• At least
two years
of ER or Adult and Pediatric experience.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
• Successful completion of Ascent EMC clinical orientation with proven capabilities in skill, knowledge base and an understanding of company vision.
• Well-maintained clinical skills and up to date continuing education in the field of Emergency Medicine RN.
