Summary:
Reports to the Sr. Vice President of Modernization. Responsible for leading technical engineering efforts in support of various Modernization Programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply and develop highly advanced technical technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts.
Be the spokesperson on technical capabilities and future directions.
Design the research for and the development of highly advanced new technological applications.
Possess sufficient writing and communication skills to prepare and present reports, papers, proposals, briefings and other documentation pertinent to the position.
Lead technical personnel and activities for large programs or groups of programs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering Discipline from an accredited college or university, and, a Masters Degree in an Engineering or Management Discipline from an accredited college or university.
Ten or more (10+) years experience and proven practical knowledge of engineering applications in maritime vessels.
Ten or more (10+) years’ experience in oversite of a team of 10 or more engineers.
Experience managing engineering projects involving, maintenance, repair, testing, product improvement, or
alteration of naval ship Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Ordnance equipment and systems. Minimum ten
(10) years of working experience in engineering projects involved in design, test, repair, and maintenance or
operation of Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Ordnance equipment Systems and equipment.

Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
