New York University’s Department of History seeks to hire a scholar in modern Latin American and Caribbean History at the assistant professor level for a full-time, tenure-track position. The department is particularly interested in scholars focused on topics including, but not limited to, U.S.-Latin American relations, political economy and development, environment, Indigenous peoples, and the roles of race, class, gender, and sexuality. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Latin American and Caribbean history.
