Capacity Path Relief seeks an
Independent Contractor
to serve as a compassionate, organized, and relationship-centered Resilience Program Manager, delivering
project-based support
for mental health community resilience initiatives during long-term disaster recovery efforts across 10 counties in Florida. Reporting to the Program Lead, the Resilience Program Manager plays a key role in attending Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) and COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster) meetings, building relationships with key stakeholders, and identifying and supporting mental health and wellness needs within organizations and affected communities. In addition to representing Capacity Path Relief at recovery meetings, the Resilience Program Manager may deliver crisis-informed trainings, facilitate debriefings, and lead wellness workshops and events. This position also contributes to internal system development to support the efficiency and scalability of our recovery programming. The contractor will be engaged for a defined contract period and will determine their own methods, scheduling, and means to accomplish the agreed-upon deliverables. Work will include representing the organization in stakeholder meetings, delivering trainings and wellness events, and compiling post-activity summaries and recommendations. The contractor will: Attend and represent Capacity Path Relief at designated Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) and COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster) meetings across a 10-county region. Build and maintain professional relationships with partner organizations, county staff, case managers, and regional recovery stakeholders. Gather and summarize insights on emerging mental health and resilience needs among disaster-impacted organizations and populations; propose recommended resources or responses. Deliver crisis-informed trainings, community wellness workshops, and debriefings, including any necessary preparation and follow-up. Support wellness-focused event planning, outreach, and facilitation in diverse community settings Contribute recommendations for program systems, workflows, and documentation processes to improve efficiency. Assist with the planning and facilitation of wellness-focused events in community settings, with supporting outreach as needed. Maintain accurate records of attendance, participant feedback, and outcomes for reporting purposes. Contractor will provide their own equipment, tools, and transportation required to complete the work. Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Counseling, Disaster Management, or a related field; OR Certification in Coaching, Health & Wellness, Resilience Training, or similar Experience delivering trainings, workshops, or group facilitation in wellness, recovery, or resilience settings Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and culturally responsive communication Comfort attending formal coalition or interagency meetings and engaging with professionals from various sectors Tech-savvy and organized: Able to use tools like PowerPoint, Excel, Google Suite, Canva, and online meeting platforms Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment with regional travel Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to working with diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior involvement in disaster recovery, case management, or community-based mental health efforts Knowledge of the LTRG or COAD landscape in Florida Experience in program coordination or systems building within a nonprofit or mission-driven environment Public speaking experience or comfort leading large and small group sessions Fast learner of digital tools such as CRMs, Basecamp, ConnectTeams, or collaborative project management platforms
Contract Terms

Independent Contractor (1099) Estimated Time Commitment:
Approximately 3 days per week, flexible scheduling based on mutual agreement and project needs. Compensation:
$25–$35/hour, commensurate with experience and scope. Period:
August 2025 – January 2026 Work will involve both remote preparation/reporting and field-based activities; occasional overnight travel within the 10-county region may be requested and agreed upon in advance.
