Senior Director, Health Access and Quality
Description
Every person deserves the opportunity to live a full, healthy life. According to the National Diabetes Statistics Report, 38.4 million people—11.6% of the U.S. population—have diabetes, and approximately 98 million adults have prediabetes. Obesity, a major contributing factor, affects about 42% of U.S. adults. These chronic conditions are increasing, and many communities face significant barriers to prevention, diagnosis, and consistent, high-quality care.
The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is committed to improving prevention, access to care, and chronic disease management for people living with diabetes and obesity—especially in resource-limited communities. By partnering with health systems, primary care teams, and community organizations, ADA implements community-centered strategies addressing clinical and social determinants of health to close access gaps and improve care coordination.
We seek a mission-driven Senior Director, Health Access and Quality to lead initiatives advancing ADA’s strategic goals in prevention, access, and chronic disease management. This key role focuses on driving sustainable, systems-level change by aligning health access initiatives with quality improvement and integrated care models. This is a grant funded opportunity in the Baltimore/DC area.
