About the role
Youll be tasked with supporting DESRIs Engineering team by managing project engineering design including civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical engineering scopes. Youll collaborate with the Preconstruction, Procurement, and Construction teams as projects mature from preliminary early-stage designs to issue-for-construction (IFC). In addition, youll be a vital member of the preconstruction design and execution team while being responsible for technical and engineering project scopes, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) technical coordination. Youll also be responsible for project design optimization, and leading coordination of project technical challenges with both internal and external subject matter experts

DESRI is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join its team as a Project Execution Engineering Associate or Manager, title to be commensurate based on experience. The role provides the opportunity to participate in the technical coordination including engineering, procurement, and construction ("EPC") of renewable energy assets in an inclusive and engaging work environment. Qualifications
- A minimum of four to seven years of experience with a strong focus on project execution. Strong preference will be given to candidates with dominant utility-scale renewable energy experience (solar, wind, or battery storage) with an emphasis on PV, BESS, and layout design and optimization.
- Higher-level understanding of the basic principles of related disciplines, with excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as superior organizational, ability to multi-task on several projects in a fast-paced environment, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Advanced understanding of renewable project constructability, electrical system optimization (including inverter capacity, capacitor banks, DC/AC/POI optimization), coordination and understanding of basis electrical studies (such as reactive power, ampacity, etc.), and deep knowledge of electrical components and configurations.
- A demonstrated interest in and experience with renewable energy projects in the United States, as well as solar experience, are strongly preferred.
