The HVAC Release Engineer is responsible for the development and validation of automotive HVAC compressors and A/C lines. The candidate will ensure components meet performance objectives and coordinate development with other functional areas such as powertrain, BIW, Aero/Thermal, Engine Cooling, and suppliers. Responsibilities
Write source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices, and manage suppliers to meet program timelines and deliverables. Maintain DVP&R for components and sub-systems, support testing, simulation, and data analysis, and establish corrective actions as needed. Lead virtual teams to design and perform CFD and FEA analyses to meet performance standards. Support pilot and pre-production builds at the assembly plant for development and installation of AC lines and compressors. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university. At least 3 years of experience in HVAC compressor and/or A/C line design/development; related experience in Engine cooling or Aero-Thermal is a plus. Proficiency with Unigraphics NX and CATIA. Strong PC skills, MS Office proficiency, and excellent communication skills. Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, basic thermodynamics, and automotive assembly plant operations. Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with e-compressors, chillers, EV components, and DFSS. Additional Information
The pay range is $25.43/hour - $39.73/hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement. Applications are accepted ongoing.
