Job Summary:

BYD Truck is seeking a responsible and communicative warehouse clerk to handle the warehouse business. The Ideal candidate will be based at the BYD Compton, CA Plant.

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for managing, organizing, and moving materials and products within the warehouse. This role ensures that all inventory is handled efficiently and accurately, contributing to smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment.

Candidate must demonstrate the following to be considered:

Responsibilities:

1. Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts.
2. Receiving: Inspect and receive incoming goods, verifying items against purchase orders and ensuring quality standards.
3. Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
4. Input and maintain accurate data regarding inventory levels, order statuses, and shipping information by the warehouse management system.
5. Keep the warehouse organized and clean, ensuring that products are stored safely and efficiently.
6. Work with other team members, such as parts specialists and supervisors, to ensure smooth operations.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of (3) years of experience in a warehouse within a related or relevant industry.
2. Familiarity with warehouse management software and inventory systems.
3. Capable of lifting heavy items up to 40 lbs. and performing physical tasks as needed.
4. Safely maneuver the forklift to transport materials within the warehouse, such as loading and unloading materials from trucks, shelves, and storage areas.
5. Self-starter with a high level of initiative, a strong sense of urgency, and ownership.
6. Ability to multi-task and work quickly and accurately.
7. Experience on ERP or WMS system is a huge plus.

Hiring Range:

$20 - $23 per hour

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
