Consumer Lending Jr. Underwriter/ Mortgage Loan Processor to assist First Atlantic Federal Credit Union to live out our Mission and Vision by working directly with the Lending Manager to provide the best value financial services to members by providing outstanding service to both external and internal members.
Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Atlantic Federal Credit Union to live out our Mission to provide best value financial services to members by providing outstanding service to both members and internal members. In addition, provide quality member service, promote Credit Union loan products, examine, evaluate, and authorize or recommend approval of member applications for loans by performing the following duties. Assists members with their consumer needs, analyzing loan requests and making credit decisions based on lending policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Meets all established service goals.
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality. Prepares and sends mortgage loan disclosures according to loan timelines. Orders required documentation for due diligence required for the loan terms. Reviews Mortgage and Consumer loan applications to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, financial condition as well as cross-sale opportunities that benefit the member and the credit union under the guidance of the Lending Manager and Consumer Lending Underwriter. Prepares and/or reviews all loan documents for completeness and accuracy including but not limited to the quality control (QC) of funded loan files. Analyzes current financial position of members to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Makes decision to recommend approval, disapproval, or forward the loan request to higher levels for decision according to the lending policy and loan matrix. Benefits offered.
