Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group, Sales - ACIP General Summary: The Best Buy Sales Director will be responsible for managing and growing revenue for the Best Buy Consumer Compute Business. This person will lead the Best Buy Sales team and be responsible for developing and executing regional strategy for driving the sale of Qualcomm compute products into retail. Consumer Compute Retail Background in North America Required. Best Buy Experience Preferred. Responsibilities The successful candidate will build and manage relationships with all Best Buy Compute teams (sales, marketing, etc). This person will interface with category planning, segment leaders, and operation teams at Best Buy to sell Qualcomm Snapdragon compute products. The candidate will work closely with the technical and product teams in Qualcomm headquarters as well as teams in the regions. Key responsibilities include introducing and selling into, building strategic growth plans, and gaining regional assortment at Best Buy. This candidate will work cross functionally with the Compute Business Unit, Marketing, Finance, PC OEMs, and ecosystem partners. Skills/Experience 10+ years of sales, product management or business development of complex technology products in compute businesses with knowledge of global dynamics of consumer distributors, Retailers, OEM, and OS Partners. 5+ Years People Management Required. Well established relationships North America Retail (specifically Best Buy) & Distribution Partners, PC OEMs, and OS Partners. Strategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customers. Experience in sell-through, sell-out, and go-to-market with consumer distributors, PC OEM regions and channel partners in North America. Deep knowledge and experience in building complex financial models that create win-win situations for Qualcomm and our customers. Ability to identify emerging opportunities and proactively engage in pre-sales activity. Proficient and detailed understanding of supply chain, product development and marketing of compute products such as notebooks, Chromebooks, and tablets. Experience in negotiating and managing sell-in, sell-out, MDF, demand gen and marketing programs with large consumer electronic distributors and retailers. Ability to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally and externally. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Creative problem solving with strong analytical skills. Self-motivated and result driven. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, technology or related business field. 10+ years in sales, business development, product management or related work experience in the PC industry. 5+ years in a leadership role.
